A toy robot, cross-hatched in ink. A riveted plate for a head. A bolt where one eye should be, a
painted dot for the other. One arm ends in a wrench. The other curves into a hook. No two parts on
this thing came from the same original object.

Somewhere, all of this was scrap. Now it's somebody's favourite toy.

## What is actually built here?

A robot assembled entirely from parts that were made for something else, with none of the seams
hidden.

The head is a riveted metal plate, the kind that comes off equipment casing, not a toy mould. One
eye is a hex bolt head, the other a simple painted dot standing in where a matching part wasn't
available. The torso keeps its original vent slots, still doing whatever job they did on the object
they were cut from. Every joint is a visibly different material and finish from the part next to it
— nothing here was designed to go together, and none of it was hidden to pretend otherwise.

## Why does the mismatch matter more than the robot shape?

Because the shape is generic — head, torso, two arms, two legs — and the mismatch is the only part
of the design that says anything about who built it.
